Handrail Standards

Metal handrail standards, also known as handrail posts or balusters, are vertical components that support and provide structure to handrails. These standards are essential elements in the construction of handrail systems. Handrail standards are vertical posts that are evenly spaced along the length of a handrail. They are designed to support the handrail and provide stability to the entire handrail system. They have a galvanized finish for corrosion resistance and to enhance durability and aesthetics. Our handrails are produced with two mounting options, flat base or side palm to allow for surface or floor mounted applications. Handrail standards are designed to meet specific height regulations outlined in building codes and safety standards. Our standards have 550mm x 625mm hole centres. We also stock raked standards for staircase applications. These are also available in both flat base and side palm mounting options to allow for surface and floor mounted applications. Our raked standards have 450mm x 550mm hole centres. The handrail tube is slotted through the ball standards and tightened with grub screws which are supplied with each standard. The handrail standards do not come with bolts for fixing to surfaces.
