These terms and conditions apply to all transactions made on Steel Shop Online’s website. Please read these terms and conditions carefully as the use of this website and the ordering of materials indicates the buyer’s acceptance of these terms and conditions.
All orders that are placed on this website are subject to acceptance in accordance with these terms and conditions. They may be amended at any time by Steel Shop Online. They may also be extended to include other conditions applicable to certain goods and services sold by Steel Shop Online. It is your responsibility as a buyer to read the terms and conditions every time you place an order. Steel Shop Online reserves the right at any time and without notice to remove, amend or change any content which appears on the website.
To order goods through this website you must be at least 18 years of age and accept delivery within the UK. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
Tolerances
Our saws and plasma machines cut to a tolerance of -0 +3mm, the cut edges are not deburred or finished and may be sharp. Items where standard lengths have been selected will be supplied on our normal lead times. Custom cut options may take slightly longer. We will advise when these items have been dispatched. Please note that all custom cut orders are non refundable so please check lengths and dimensions carefully before ordering.

All images, descriptive content and material specifications on our website are for the sole purpose of giving an approximate description of the goods.
Accuracy of Product Information
All product specifications, images and other information published on our website have either been made accessible by suppliers, manufacturer’s, publications, publicists, or been gathered from public-domain sources. Steel Shop Online have attempted to keep all information as accurate and as up to date as possible, however we cannot guarantee that this is the case for all of the information on this website. All actions taken by the customer are the responsibility of that individual.
Payment and Price
The total price payable for the goods will be calculated when you place your order, whether or not the order has been confirmed. We are entitled to make price adjustments to allow for any increase in supplier prices, imposition of taxes or duties, or due to an error or omission in the price published, whether or not the order has been confirmed. We will inform you of the correct price and give you the opportunity to cancel. All prices on our website are exclusive of VAT and of delivery charges which will be payable as indicated at the time of placing your order.
We reserve the right to apply a delivery surcharge on orders that are heavy, long or being delivered to a remote address. If additional charges apply we will contact you prior to the order being dispatched at which point you will have the option to pay the surcharge or cancel the order.
Please note that Steel Shop Online does not offer shipping outside of the UK and therefore VAT is applied on all orders. In the event that you make your own arrangements to ship goods outside of the UK and request a VAT refund then a £20 admin charge will be payable.
Payment Methods
We accept all major Credit and Debit Cards (excluding American Express) via the Stripe platform. On the order you must provide us with your exact billing address, delivery address (if different) and telephone number. Incorrect information will cause a delay in the order processing. Your order will only be processed once authorisation of your credit card has been properly received.
Availability of Goods
All products are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time. If we do not supply the goods for any reason we will not charge you and will refund any monies already paid. However, we will not be responsible for compensating you for any other losses you may suffer if the goods are not supplied. All prices on our website are exclusive of delivery charges. Delivery charges will be calculated and added to the price of the products at checkout.
Typographical Errors
In an event that a product is listed at an incorrect price due to a pricing or typographical error, changes in taxes or duty, we shall have the right to cancel or refuse any order including products listed at the incorrect price whether or not the order has been confirmed. If your credit card has already been charged and we subsequently cancel your order, we will immediately issue a refund to your card for the value of the incorrect price, including delivery fees.
Cancelling or Changing an Order
We are unable to change an order once it has been placed. If your order is incorrect, please email us immediately on support@steelshoponline.co.uk, weekdays between 8am – 5pm so that we can attempt to cancel it before it is cut and dispatched. However due to our quick turnaround, Steel Shop Online is unable to guarantee this. If the order is not custom cut, please refer to our returns policy for returning goods.
Delivery Times
Delivery of stock items within the UK will usually be made within 1-3 working days from clearance of payment. Any delivery dates we specify are approximate only and we shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges, or expenses caused by any delay for delivery of the goods. If any product is temporarily out of stock, we will notify you of this as soon as possible. You should allow up to 28 days for dispatch of the goods. For delays of more than 28 days, you will have the right to cancel the order for a full refund.
Missed Deliveries
We will not accept liability for goods lost in transit unless we are notified within 7 days from the expected delivery date on our contact us page. If goods returned under this clause are found to be in perfect condition, these will be returned to you and an administration fee of 15% of the price of the goods along with the carriage cost will be charged to your credit card.
Faulty or Damaged Goods
Products that are deemed faulty or damaged can be returned for replacement or credit. These goods can be returned up to 7 working days following receipt of order, please inform us via our contact us page stating ‘faulty or damaged goods’ as the subject and including all order details within the correspondence. This does not affect any statutory rights that you may have.
Returns
Products should be returned, together with the Delivery Note within 14 days, in original undamaged packaging. If we find that a product has not been returned to us in resellable condition, or the packaging is damaged, we reserve the right to refuse a refund on the item or to reduce the amount of the refund to reflect the condition of the goods. Any refund due will be credited to the original card of purchase within 3-5 working days of us receiving and inspecting the goods.
Liabilities & Risk
As soon as we have delivered the goods to your door you will be responsible for them. We will only deliver goods to the address on the order. From the time of the receipt of the goods, any loss or damage shall be at your own risk. Any damage to the goods in transit, plus any shortages or incorrect goods supplied must be noted on the delivery consignment note at the time of delivery.
All deliveries must be signed for or they will not be left. Please remember to inspect the condition and quantity of your goods before signing for them. Claims for missing or damaged products will be rejected if they have been signed for “Received in good condition”. In the event that goods are returned to us because they were not signed for, we will not be liable for any loss sustained by you and we will contact you to arrange payment by you of a further carriage charge before we attempt redelivery of the items.
Notification of Claims
Damage in transit: If goods arrive in a damaged condition you must make a note on the delivery consignment note. It will be your responsibility to inform us of this on our contact us page within 7 days from delivery.
Shortages: It is your responsibility to sign for the correct number of packages as shown on the delivery consignment note. Any shortages must be noted on the consignment note and it will be your responsibility to notify us on our contact us page within 7 days from delivery.
Incorrect Goods: It is your responsibility to notify us of any incorrect goods within 7 days of delivery via our contact us page.
